Janet. The matriarch of the family business; Wolf and Janet celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary this May. The bookkeeper in the family, Janet stepped behind the counter and began providing customer service in 1986 when the Clinton Plaza location formally opened. Janet provides excellent customer service to everyone she encounters and keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes.
Leslie: The firstborn; Leslie is the reason why the Wildes moved to Oneonta in the first place — to enjoy the simpler quality of life in a small town. Leslie helped out in the business as a teenager, but went on to great corporate success at Met Life. These days, Leslie fills in whenever needed with her meticulous attention to detail and eye for style.
Reuben: Following in his father’s footsteps, Reuben began his apprenticeship at the shop in 1996. A workhorse at the bench, Reuben is adept with both routine repairs and also fulfilling special custom orders. Reuben is a Graduate Gemologist, having earned his diploma through the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in June 2010. Reuben has a special interest in diamond grading and differentiating gemstone characteristics.
Karen: Karen graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University at Albany with a degree in Psychology and English. She joined the shop in 2002 after the birth of her first child. From CAD to precious metal clay, Karen enjoys dabbling in the latest jewelry production innovations.
Liz: Elizabeth is the youngest member of the family and rejoined the shop in 2009 after earning her Master's degree from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art. A painter by training, Liz has an excellent eye for color and design. Liz is our custom design specialist. She enjoys collaborating with our customers to fulfill their vision.
